  • Design shell and tube heat exchangers according to TEMA, HEI and API 660 codes.
  • Configure tube layouts and define passes through shell and tubes based on thermal requirements.
  • Evaluate permanent, cyclic, local, and seismic load conditions on industrial equipment.
  • Select materials considering corrosion, mechanical properties, and minimum design temperature.
  • Calculate joint efficiency and decide between “full” or “spot” weld designs
  • Design cylindrical shells and heads for internal and external pressure with stiffening rings.
  • Model the tube bundle, including baffles, tube sheets, heads, and conical transitions.
  • Size standard and non-standard connections and flanges with structural reinforcements.
  • Analyze wind and seismic loads applied to horizontal exchangers and their supports.
  • Verify support saddles considering thermal expansion, thicknesses, and anchor bolts.
